Made for the Moments
You Live For.
Some of life’s best moments happen when people come together over what they love.
The backyard gatherings. The tailgates. The weekends on the water. The celebrations, traditions, and everyday moments that become lasting memories.
LIT MODS was made for these moments.
We created LIT MODS to help people express what they’re passionate about, add personality to the places they gather, and connect over the things they share.
LIT MODS created the Portable Identity Light™ (PIL) category: one rechargeable Base with swappable Toppers that let you change what you display for every occasion.
One Base. Your Identity. LIT Anywhere.
How It All Started
One afternoon, after dropping my daughter off at a friend’s house, I was leaving her neighborhood in my Jeep. As I followed another car through the security gate, I assumed the gate arm would stay up.
I was wrong.
It came crashing down on my hood.
The damage was minor — but when I got home, I noticed one of the small black plastic hood bumpers was missing.
While waiting for a replacement, I started wondering:
What if I could turn this ordinary piece of plastic into something unique — personalized, illuminated, three-dimensional, and unlike anything else?
That question sparked the idea for LIT MODS.
As the idea took shape, I realized it could go far beyond Jeeps. I wanted to create something people could make their own and take anywhere — something that lets them show what they love and connect with others who share their passions.
What started as an idea for a Jeep accessory evolved into something anyone could enjoy, wherever life takes them.
Along the way, I realized LIT MODS could be about more than just the light. It’s about people, the passions they share, and the connections they make along the way.
